Last year I had great plans to keep a current blog. I made a new blog name (not this one). I bought a domain name. I had PLANS.
But then as Robert Burns reminds us:

Last year was full of unexpected moments which prevented any serious blogging on my part. So this year, I’m going with a lighter form of blogging. I hope you will enjoy the journey through 2013 with me.
